Botz 9502 Konfetti liquid glaze – opaque white glaze with colourful speckles

Botz 9502 Konfetti liquid glaze is a ready-to-use earthenware glaze for bisque-fired ceramics. It fires to a glossy, opaque white. Black, brown, yellow, light blue and dark blue speckles are scattered through it, giving the surface a colourful confetti pattern.

Because the glaze is opaque, the colour of your clay hardly shows through. The speckled white suits decorative pieces such as bowls, vases or figures and combines well with plain-coloured pieces in the same firing.

Application

The glaze is ready to use. The speckles settle in the container, so stir thoroughly before each application.

• Stir the glaze well and thin with a little water if needed
• Apply with a brush to bisque-fired ceramics (bisque firing at least 950 °C)
• Leave to dry thoroughly
• Apply another coat if needed

Firing and temperature

As an earthenware glaze, 9502 Konfetti is intended for a firing range of approx. 1020 to 1100 °C. It is stable at 1020–1060 °C and can be fired up to 1100 °C. It is not intended for stoneware firings at higher temperatures. A test piece on your own clay will show you beforehand how the speckles look in your kiln.
