Efco Modelling and Painting Sponge – for Dabbing, Blending and Modelling
The Efco modelling and painting sponge is a round yellow sponge (ø 7 × 3 cm) for modelling, dabbing and blending paint in craft and painting projects.
Use the flat side to apply paint or glue over larger areas, for example for the background of a picture or in decoupage. Dabbing the paint on creates a soft, lightly textured surface. You can also use the sponge to blend colour transitions while the paint is still wet. It can also be used for modelling.
Working with the sponge
Pick up only a little paint and first dab it off on a piece of paper. This keeps the dabbed pattern even and prevents clumps of paint. For gradients, place the colours next to each other and lightly dab the boundary while both are still wet. Rinse the sponge out thoroughly straight after use, before paint or glue dries in it.
