SUKI pottery sponge – controlling water and smoothing clay

The SUKI pottery sponge, also used as a modelling sponge or grouting sponge, is a tool for working with clay. It absorbs water and helps you keep the moisture of the clay under control. You can use it to gently take excess wetness off the surface without damaging the clay.

Working with the sponge
