Rayher silicone mould, small stones – 6 stone shapes for casting
The small stones silicone mould from Rayher has 6 stone shapes in different sizes. You can use it to cast stones from creative concrete, Raysin casting powder, jewellery concrete, soap or wax. The mould measures 14.5 × 26 × 3.5 cm and is supplied singly.
According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape, and it is frost- and heat-resistant from -40 °C to 230 °C. Because it stretches, you can release the hardened stones from the mould more easily, and you can use the mould many times.
Casting the stones
Place the mould on a level surface so that the stones are an even thickness. Mix your casting material following the instructions on the pack and fill each cavity to the brim. Tap the mould lightly so that air bubbles rise to the surface. Do not demould until the material has set completely. To demould, stretch the silicone carefully. According to Rayher, you need about 610 g of creative concrete or about 570 g of Raysin casting powder for all 6 stones.
Painting, lettering and uses
Once dry, you can decorate the cast stones with acrylic paint, outdoor paint, Chalky Finish, High Gloss, markers and sprays. With a name written on them, they become name cards or place cards for celebrations. If you have used the mould for soap, wax or concrete, do not use it for food afterwards.
