Prym Faden-Fee – snag repair needle for pulled threads
The Prym Faden-Fee is a 0.8 mm fine repair needle for dealing with snagged threads in fabric or knitwear. Instead of an eye, the needle has a spiral-ridged end that grips the thread and pulls it through to the back.
This makes it quick to repair minor damage to clothing without needing a needle and thread for sewing. The needle is made of hardened steel and coated brass.
How to repair a pulled thread
Push the Faden-Fee through the fabric or knitwear right next to the pulled thread. Twist it several times so that the ridged end grips the thread. Then draw the needle, together with the thread, through to the wrong side of the garment. The loop then no longer shows on the right side.
What it is suitable for
The Faden-Fee is intended for minor damage to clothing, such as knitted items or finer fabrics. Because of the fine tip, work carefully and store the needle safely after use.
