KnitPro Rainbow Knit Blockers – blocking combs for shaping knitted pieces

KnitPro Rainbow Knit Blockers are blocking combs that you use to shape washed knitted pieces while they dry. You push them along the edge of your scarf, jumper piece, blanket or lace shawl into a surface that takes pins, such as a blocking mat.

The set contains 20 blockers: 12 with 8 pins and 8 with 4 pins. The body is made of plastic and the pins are made of rust-resistant stainless steel. This means you can also block damp knitted pieces without rust marks.

Blocking your knitting

Wash the knitted piece or dampen it thoroughly, then gently press out excess water without wringing. Lay it on the surface and smooth it out to the size you want. Then pin the blockers along the edge at short intervals until the edge is straight and evenly stretched. Leave the piece to dry completely in this shape before you remove the blockers.

Blockers with 8 or 4 pins

The blockers with 8 pins hold a longer stretch of edge at once and suit straight sides such as those on scarves, blankets or jumper pieces. Use the smaller blockers with 4 pins for shorter sections and details, for example at necklines or narrow edges.
