Prym Macramé Pins – sturdy pins for pinning macramé

Prym macramé pins (art. no. 028650) are 55 mm long pins with a strong shaft, used to pin and secure macramé work. The hardened steel shaft is 1.15 mm thick and sturdier than that of an ordinary pin. The round plastic heads come in an assortment of pastel-like colours.

The pack contains 10 pins. The coloured heads also work well as markers, for example to mark centre points or spacing.

Pinning macramé

Lay your work on the board and push the pin through the cord at an angle, or into the board beside a knot. This keeps centre cords, starting loops or finished rows in place while you continue knotting. Place the pins a little way from the area you are knotting so they do not get in your way.

When to use them instead of ordinary pins

With very firm fabrics such as canvas, an ordinary pin often lacks the strength and bends. The stronger shaft and robust point of these pins make it easier to pin such materials.
