Prym stitch holders – holding stitches safely when knitting

With the Prym stitch holders (art. no. 081290), you can put stitches on hold while knitting, for example for short rows, armholes or separate sections. The pack contains 2 holders, each 13.5 cm long and made of flexible spring steel.

The tip is rounded and the holder is finished without burrs. This keeps the yarn smooth, and the stitches are not roughened when you slip them on and off again. Once closed, the needle tip rests in the burr-free catch. The stitches therefore cannot slip off.

Using the stitch holders

Slip the stitches from the knitting needle onto the open holder and close it. For an armhole or a shoulder, this holds the stitches you want to knit on later or sew together. If you have a larger number of stitches, divide them between both holders. When you pick the stitches up again, make sure they go back onto the needle without being twisted.
