Clover large stitch holder – keep stitches safe

The large double-ended stitch holder from Clover is a spare needle on which you hold stitches to be worked later, for example at the neckline, on sleeves or on yokes. The needle has points at both ends, so you can knit from it from either side. Slip-on stoppers joined by an elastic cord stop the stitches slipping off.

The large stitch holder is designed for needle sizes from 3.75 to 8 mm, which makes it suitable for medium to chunky knitting. The pack contains 2 pieces, so you can leave two sections to rest at the same time, such as both shoulders.

How to hold stitches

Take one end cap of the elastic cord off the needle, slide the stitches from your knitting needle onto the stitch holder and put the cap back on. The stitches are now secure, and you can put them back on the knitting needle later. Make sure your knitting needle matches the needle size: the holder is designed for 3.75 to 8 mm, so for much finer work you will need a smaller spare needle.
