The addiClassic circular knitting needle from addi, 60 cm long, is designed for knitting in the round and for flat knitting, for example shawls, scarves, jumpers and cardigans. The tips are made of white-bronzed brass and the cable is made of gold-coloured plastic. According to addi, stitches glide well even on rough yarns. This makes the needle suitable for beginners and for quick knitting. Choose the needle size from the options.
According to addi, the 105-7 series is handmade in Germany and is now called addiPremium Classic on the manufacturer's website. The tip and cable join seamlessly, so stitches do not bunch up at the join.
Which projects suit 60 cm?
According to addi, lengths from 60 to 150 cm are suitable for shawls, scarves, jumpers and cardigans. With 60 cm you can knit round pieces of medium circumference, for example snoods or smaller tops. For sleeves, children's clothing, polo necks and hats, addi recommends 40–50 cm instead. For larger circumferences you need a longer cable so that the stitches sit loosely.
Yarns and handling
According to addi, the needle is suitable for loosely twisted and multi-ply yarns. While you knit, the stitches sit on the cable, not on the needle. Nothing catches at the join between tip and cable. When casting on, make sure the stitches are not twisted on the cable before you join the round.
