The addiNovel circular knitting needle from addi is 60 cm long and suits knitting in the round and projects with a lot of stitches. The needle shaft is square with rounded edges. It sits differently in the hand from a round needle and is designed for loose, relaxed knitting. Choose the needle size from the options.
The needle tips are made of metal, light and polished smooth. The join between the tip and the flexible cable is smooth, so the stitches keep sliding along evenly. Thanks to the hollow-space technique, they also sit securely on the needle. The tips do not twist. Size and length are marked directly on the cable, so you can identify the needle quickly even without its packaging. The needle is made in Germany.
What 60 cm is suited to
At 60 cm, you can knit in the round from a medium circumference upwards, for example sleeves, jumpers and waistcoats, and flat knit wider scarves or shawls. For very small circumferences such as socks or hat crowns, choose a shorter length; the series is also available in 40 cm. Note that the total length includes the needle tips, so the cable alone is shorter than 60 cm.
Square needles and tension
The square profile and the surface hold the stitches securely, so some knitters find their fabric comes out slightly firmer. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the yarn's ball band is only a guide.
