Lang Yarns SECRET GARDEN is a DK yarn made from 84% cotton and 16% recycled polyamide. You can knit lightweight layering pieces and fine lace patterns with it. A ball weighs 50 g and, according to the manufacturer, has a length of approx. 240 m, so 100 g come to approx. 480 m. That makes it easy to convert the yarn quantity in your pattern into balls.

Cotton is a plant fibre and feels cool to the touch. It is less elastic than wool, so lace patterns and the stitch definition show up clearly. The polyamide content gives the yarn extra strength. Choose your colour from the options.

Knitting with SECRET GARDEN

On 3.5–4 mm needles the fabric is open enough for lace and eyelet patterns, yet still holds its shape. The figure of 21 stitches and 36 rows over 10 × 10 cm is the tension according to the manufacturer. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Knit a swatch and wash it the way you will care for the finished piece, as cotton can change size when washed.

The quantities given are rough guides and depend heavily on the design. For pieces with lace patterns or longer shapes, it is wise to allow a little extra.
