Lang Yarns Quattro Lamé – shiny cotton yarn with fine glitter

Quattro Lamé from Lang Yarns is a cotton yarn for knitting and crochet, made from 96% mercerised cotton and 4% polyester. A fine glitter thread gives the yarn a subtle sparkle. Mercerisation makes the surface smooth and even and gives it a sheen.

One ball weighs 50 g and has a length of approx. 120 m. Use this to work out the amount for your project: convert the yardage given in your pattern into balls, and it is better to allow one ball extra. Choose your colour from the options.

What Quattro Lamé is suited to

Quattro Lamé suits summer projects where a little sheen is welcome: tops, accessories or children's clothing. Cotton is a plant fibre and is therefore a good choice for garments worn in warm weather. The glitter thread shows up best in smooth stitch patterns, such as simple knit or crochet stitches, where the shimmer is not hidden by complicated textures.

Working with it

Work with needles of 3–4 mm. The ball band gives 24 stitches and 32 rows over 10 × 10 cm. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Buy the whole amount in one go if possible, so that the dye lots do not differ.
