Lang Yarns Cotton Tweed is a tweed yarn for summer knits such as light jumpers, tops, cardigans and accessories. It is made of 67% cotton, 24% silk and 9% polyester and feels soft. The look is subtly rustic.

The texture comes from two twisted strands: a plain-coloured base strand and a silk strand with colourful tweed flecks. This gives the yarn a lively surface without making it look heavy. Choose your colour from the options.

What Cotton Tweed is suited to

Cotton, silk and the tweed flecks make the yarn light and pleasant to wear, so it suits tops, cardigans and transitional garments for warm days. The flecks add texture to the knitted fabric on their own. Stocking stitch or simple patterns therefore usually look the calmest, while complicated cables or lace patterns tend to get lost on the busy surface.

Work out the yarn requirements for your project from the length given in the pattern and compare it with the metres per ball, rather than going by weight alone.
