Noro Malvinas is a knitting yarn made from 100 % merino wool. Each ball weighs 150 g and has a length of 300 m, enough for scarves, accessories and, with the right quantity, jumpers too. Choose your colour from the options.

Malvinas comes in deep, vivid colours that are matched to other Noro classics such as Ito, Viola and Silk Garden. The yarn weight is identical, so you can combine the yarns in one project, for example for stripes or colour blocks.

Needle size and tension

The recommended needle size is 4.5–5 mm, which gives an even fabric. The ball band states 14–16 stitches and 22–24 rows over 10 × 10 cm. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Knit a tension swatch before starting your project, using the needle size you intend to use.

Planning quantities and combining yarns

With 300 m per ball, which works out at approx. 200 m per 100 g, you can compare Malvinas directly with other yarns of the same length.
