Noro Silk Garden Solo is a knitting yarn in 45% silk, 45% mohair and 10% wool for jumpers, cardigans, hats and scarves. The silk and mohair fibres give the yarn a soft sheen, while the wool adds warmth. Choose your colour from the options.

One ball weighs approx. 50 g and has a length of approx. 100 m. That works out at about 200 m per 100 g, so you can easily calculate the yarn requirements for your project from your pattern.

What the yarn is suited to

With needle size 4.5–5 mm you can knit jumpers, cardigans, hats or scarves that keep you warm and have a soft sheen thanks to the silk content. Mohair is a fine, hairy yarn that is difficult to unpick. It is therefore worth knitting a tension swatch before starting your project. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide.

Planning quantities

Compare the length of approx. 100 m per ball with the yarn requirements in metres or grams given in your pattern. Larger items such as jumpers need a correspondingly large number of balls. Buy the whole quantity at once if possible and from the same dye lot, so that the colour looks even in the finished piece.
