Prym Sew-On Press Studs 17 mm in Black – Rustproof Brass Fastening

Prym sew-on press studs (art. no. 341254) are black fasteners for sewing onto clothing, bags and accessories. Each press stud consists of a socket part and a ball part in rustproof brass. At 17 mm in diameter, they make a sturdy, clearly visible fastening, for example on jackets, coats or bag flaps.

The underside is crimped and protects the fabric from sharp edges. Four holes in the rim guide the needle, so you can sew the parts on evenly and securely. You need neither pliers nor any other tool. The press studs are washable up to 40 °C. The pack contains 4 pieces.

How to sew on the press studs

Mark the position on both sides of the fabric, for example with tailor's chalk, and measure again so that the socket and ball parts sit exactly on top of each other later. Then sew each part on firmly with sewing thread through all four holes. Pass the needle several times through the same hole before moving on to the next, and fasten off the thread end securely.

What the 17 mm stud suits

The large diameter suits fabrics that need some hold, such as a coat, jacket, bag or cushion cover. For fine fabrics and small items, you are better off choosing a smaller size from the Prym range of sew-on press studs.
