Prym Sew-On Press Studs 7 mm Transparent – Discreet Fasteners for Light Fabrics

The Prym sew-on press studs, 7 mm, are small, transparent fasteners made of shatterproof plastic, for sewing onto clothing, home textiles and craft projects. At just 7 mm in diameter and very light, they suit fine, lightweight fabrics such as blouses or bed linen. Being transparent, they take on the colour of the fabric and are hardly noticeable.

Each stud has 4 holes. You can use them to sew it on evenly and securely. The pack contains 24 pieces.

Sewing on the press studs

Mark the position on both sides of the fabric so that the two parts of the stud meet exactly later. Sew each part on with several stitches through all four holes and knot the thread on the wrong side of the fabric. A thread in the colour of the fabric helps keep the fastener discreet. Do not place the studs too close to the edge of the fabric, so that the fastener does not pull.

Choosing the size

7 mm is a small size for fine fabrics and fastenings that do not have to withstand much strain. For heavier fabrics or areas under more stress, choose a larger press stud, for example from the Prym range of sew-on press studs in 10 mm or 13 mm.
