Stafil Tartan felt – tartan check felt for appliqués and decorations
Tartan felt from Stafil is a felt sheet with a tartan check pattern for craft and sewing projects. The sheet measures 30 × 40 cm and is 1 mm thick. It holds its shape, is soft and cuts easily. You can use it to make appliqués, coasters, book covers, decorations or accents in mixed-fabric projects.
The sheet is large enough for several small cut-outs, for example pendants, hearts or stars. Choose your colour from the options.
Working with check felt
Draw your shape on the back with a pencil or tailor's chalk and cut it out with sharp scissors or a rotary cutter. Line the template up with the lines of the check so the pattern runs straight and several pieces look the same. Attach appliqués with fabric glue or small stitches. For coasters, you can glue several layers together if you want them firmer.
