Prym Professional Dressmaking Shears 25 cm – for long lengths of fabric and accurate cutting

The Prym Professional dressmaking shears, 25 cm (9.5") long, art. no. 611518, are made for cutting fabric. They are the largest shears in the Prym Professional range and are particularly suited to long lengths of fabric. With the long blade you can cut further in a single stroke than is possible with small scissors.

The blades are made of rustproof stainless steel and are set so that the fabric is not crushed. The lower blade rests on the table so that the fabric does not slip while you cut. The soft grip with a larger finger hole for several fingers sits comfortably in the hand, even for longer cuts.

Cutting long lengths of fabric

Lay the fabric smooth and free of creases on a flat surface and cut along the marking with the lower blade resting on the table. Do not lift the shears while cutting. This keeps the fabric flat and gives you long, even lines. Open the blades wide and cut right up to the tip, so that a small step does not form with every cut. Use the shears for fabric only: paper and card will blunt the blades.

25 cm or 21 cm?

The 25 cm shears are the right choice if you often cut large pieces, for example dress fabrics, curtains or lining. For smaller pieces and tighter curves, the shorter Prym Professional dressmaking shears at 21 cm (8") are easier to handle.
