Lang Yarns Atlantis is an all-purpose DK yarn made from 60 % virgin wool and 40 % acrylic, superwash. You can knit jumpers, hats, scarves or dresses with it. According to the manufacturer, the wool blend is hard-wearing and the yarn does not tend to pill, so it stays looking good for a long time.

The virgin wool comes from Corriedale sheep. This wool has a slightly coarser structure and a long fibre. Using the QR code on the ball band and the "Trace your Yarn" programme, you can trace the yarn back to its origin. One ball weighs 50 g and has a length of approx. 135 m. Choose your colour from the options.

Tension, needles and care

With 3.5–4 mm needles, you get 24 stitches and 30 rows over 10 × 10 cm. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Thanks to the superwash finish, the yarn is designed for machine washing. You will find the right wash programme and temperature on the ball band.

How much yarn do you need?

The manufacturer gives the following approximate quantities for jumpers. The actual yarn requirements depend on the design, the stitch pattern and your knitting style. It is therefore best to allow a little extra and to buy everything you need at once, so that all the balls come from the same dye lot and the shade stays consistent.
