Lang Yarns Mille Colori Baby is a 4-ply yarn (sock/baby) made from 100% virgin wool (merino fine) with a superwash finish, designed for colourful knitting projects. Choose your colour from the options.

One ball weighs 50 g and has a length of approx. 190 m, which makes it easy to work out the quantity for your project: 100 g comes to about 380 m. The yarn is soft. With needle size 3–3.5 mm you knit a fine, even fabric, as is usual for a 4-ply yarn.

Quantities and yarn requirements

As rough guide figures, Lang Yarns gives approx. 400 g for a women's size M, approx. 500 g for a men's size M and approx. 200 g for a child (10 years). The actual requirement depends on the design, stitch pattern and size. It is better to allow a little extra and buy the whole quantity in one go. With yarns that change colour slowly, balls from different dye lots can differ in the colour transition.

Knitting with the colour gradient

The yarn changes colour gradually over long stretches. This creates soft transitions without you having to change colours. Stocking stitch and simple textures show the colour gradient off best, whereas very small lace patterns tend to get lost. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Follow the care instructions on the ball band.
