Prym 15 cm Double-Pointed Knitting Needles – for Socks, Hats and Gloves

The 15 cm Prym double-pointed needles are a set for everything you knit in the round: socks and stockings, hats and gloves. The set contains 5 needles, each with two points, on a card. The pearl grey surface is smooth and grippy, and the stitches slide easily over the needles. According to Prym, the grey colour makes the stitch pattern easy to see.

The needles are light, so they are comfortable to hold even during longer knitting sessions. Choose the needle size from the options.

Knitting with double-pointed needles

When knitting in the round, you divide the stitches between three or four needles and use the free needle to knit the stitches of the first. Once a needle is empty, it becomes the next working needle. Take care not to leave the yarn too loose where one needle meets the next, otherwise ladders will form in the knitting. Choose the needle size according to your yarn and pattern.

15 or 20 cm?

The shorter 15 cm needles are practical for small circumferences, such as glove fingers, thumbs or baby socks, because they stick out less. Prym also makes this set in a 20 cm length. On those, more stitches sit comfortably on one needle.
