KnitPro NATURAL 15 cm double-pointed needles – set of polished wooden DPNs
The KnitPro NATURAL double-pointed needles are a set of 5 needles made of smooth polished wood. You can use them to knit socks, knee-high socks, gloves and other small items in the round. The tips are shaped, so they slip easily into the stitches. The needle size is marked in the centre of each needle, so you can still identify it when the needles are loose in your bag.
The needles are 15 cm long. Choose your needle size from the options.
Knitting with double-pointed needles
A set of double-pointed needles is designed for knitting in the round. You divide the stitches between four needles and knit with the fifth. As soon as you have worked across one needle, it becomes the working needle for the next. This creates a seamless tube, for example for a sock leg or a glove.
Choosing length and size
At 15 cm, the needles are fairly short. This suits small circumferences such as socks, glove fingers or sleeves, because the needles do not stick out as far. For larger circumferences, the same series is also available in 20 cm. The needle size you need is given in your pattern and depends on the yarn. It is usually stated there as the needle size for the tension swatch.
