The ring is made of soft plastic and has a diameter of 13 cm. According to Prym, it fits all common bobbins. As you can adjust it to the bobbin size yourself, bobbins of different diameters also sit securely.

Adjusting the ring to your bobbins

The ring can be shaped with hot water. Proceed as follows:

• Place the ring in boiling water for 15 to 20 seconds and carefully lift it out, for example with tongs or a spoon.
• Shape the two edges to suit the diameter of your bobbins.
• Dip the ring briefly in cold water. It hardens again and keeps its shape.

Prym states that the ring suits bobbins of all common sizes. You determine the shape yourself, so you can store metal and plastic bobbins together, provided the edges match the diameter of each bobbin.
