Prym magnetic pin cushion, oval, purple, 7.5 × 11 cm

Prym magnetic pin cushion – pins within easy reach at your sewing station

The Prym magnetic pin cushion (art. no. 611330) keeps pins right beside your sewing machine or sewing area. The pins are not pushed into it; a magnet holds them on the surface of the oval purple plastic box. You can pick them up with one hand when pinning fabric.

The box is also useful away from sewing: drawing pins and paper clips stay within reach on your desk.

Using the magnetic pin cushion

Place the box within reach of your hand and lay the pins on the surface. The magnet holds pins made of iron or steel, so you do not have to push them into a cushion first. This is handy when you need a lot of pins in quick succession, for example when pinning a hem or pattern pieces. When tidying up, you can gather stray pins by holding the box over them. Keep magnetic pin cushions away from magnetic cards, sensitive data carriers and electronic devices.
