CLOVER water-soluble marking pencils – 3 colours for marking fabric

With the CLOVER set of 3 marking pencils (art. no. 5003), you can draw lines and marks on fabric, for example when sewing, quilting, embroidering and for patchwork. The set contains one pencil each in white, blue and pink, so you will find a colour that stands out well on both light and dark fabrics. According to Clover, the marks wipe off easily with water.

The lead is made of clay, wax and colour pigment, the casing of natural wood and the cap of polystyrene.

Marking and removing

Test the pencil first on an offcut of the same fabric. This shows you how clearly the colour stands out and whether it can be removed again. After you have finished, wipe off the marks with a damp cloth before you iron the fabric or have it dry-cleaned. Otherwise they may stay on the fabric. If they do not wipe off, wash the fabric in water, using only a neutral detergent.

Sharpening

The lead is very soft and can break easily. Sharpen it carefully with a hand sharpener or a craft knife, and do not press hard when drawing.
