Meyco Profi Craft Knife – 9 mm Snap-Off Blade for Precise Cutting

The Meyco Profi craft knife (art. no. 65126) is a cutting tool for crafts, office work and DIY. It is 135 mm long and has a 9 mm wide blade. The blade is segmented: when a section becomes blunt, you snap it off and have a sharp edge again. The lock holds the blade in position while you cut, so it does not slide back.

The 9 mm wide blade is narrow enough for straight cuts along a ruler and for clean trimming. The compact shape sits well in the hand and is easy to guide.

Using the knife safely

Place your material on a cutting mat and extend the blade only as far as you need for the cut. Lock it before you start cutting. Guide the knife along a ruler and cut away from your body. With thicker material, the cut is cleaner if you make several light cuts rather than one heavy one. This keeps the cut edge straight and the blade is less likely to slip.

Renewing the blade edge

If the cut frays or you need to press harder, the front segment is blunt. Push the blade out a little way and snap the segment off at the score line, for example with pliers. Keep your hand out of the direction of the break. Dispose of snapped-off blade pieces so that nobody can be injured by them.
