The Staedtler Lumocolor 301 whiteboard marker in a set of 4 writes on small whiteboards, pupils' boards and smooth surfaces such as glass or porcelain. The stand-up box contains four pens in assorted colours. Thanks to 8h CAP-OFF, a pen can be left without its cap for up to 8 hours without drying out. That helps if you don't want to keep recapping while writing or sketching.

With the M line width (approx. 1.0 mm), your writing stays clearly legible on small surfaces, and notes and sketches stay neat. The ink dries quickly and has a low odour. The barrel and cap are made of PP, and according to Staedtler the housing is made of 97 % recycled plastic.

What the marker is intended for

Staedtler recommends the 301 for small whiteboards, the Lumocolor memo board 641 and pupils' boards. You can also wipe the writing off glass and porcelain dry, leaving no residue. It suits weekly planners, shopping lists, labels on glass or exercises in lessons.

Writing and wiping off

Write on smooth, clean surfaces and wipe the writing off with a dry cloth or board sponge. Even so, put the cap back on after writing. The 8 hours without a cap are a reserve for the working day, not a storage recommendation. The pen is Airplane safe: automatic pressure equalisation stops it leaking on a plane. So you can take it with you when travelling too.
