Schmincke Acrylic Bronze – metallic effect paint with real metal pigments

Schmincke Acrylic Bronze is a ready-to-use effect paint for acrylic painting. You can use it to add shiny metallic accents to pictures and craft projects indoors.

The colorants in Schmincke's genuine artists' bronzes are bronze or aluminium pigments. According to Schmincke, they are very lightfast, cover better and shine more strongly than pearlescent effect paints. That pays off if the metallic shade needs to stay visible on dark or colourful surfaces. The bronze comes in 5 shades from the gold, copper and silver range. Choose your colour from the options.

Applying the acrylic bronze

The paint is ready to use straight away and can be applied like normal acrylic paint.

• Prepare the surface so that it is clean, dry and free from grease; degrease smooth surfaces such as metal or plastic beforehand.
• Shake the bottle well before use so that the metal pigments are evenly distributed.
• Apply the bronze with a brush, either neat or diluted with a little water.
• Wash your brush out with water straight after use, while the paint has not yet dried.

Surfaces and limits

It is suitable for grease-free surfaces such as paper, card, wood, metal, plastic and plaster, as well as for effects on acrylic paintings. The paint dries smudge- and waterproof. Schmincke approves it expressly for indoor use only; it is not intended for objects outdoors.
