Gütermann HT2 fabric glue – solvent-based glue for fabric, leather and PVC
Gütermann HT2 fabric glue is a solvent-based glue for fabrics, appliqués, leather, PVC and other materials. According to Gütermann, it bonds quickly and durably, and the glued seam stays flexible and is washable up to 40 °C. The tube contains 30 g.
Check the product name when buying: Gütermann HT2 TEXTIL is a separate, solvent-free product. This glue contains solvents and is labelled accordingly (see warnings).
How to glue with HT2
Work in a well-ventilated place away from sources of ignition. Test on a scrap of fabric first so that you can set the ironing temperature to suit your material.
- Apply the glue to one of the pieces only.
- Leave the glue line to dry for 7 minutes.
- Press the pieces together.
- Iron over for 5–10 seconds; the temperature depends on the fabric.
What it is not suitable for
Do not use HT2 on acetate, such as lining fabrics, on coated fabrics or on polystyrene. It is intended for textiles made of cotton, leather or PVC and for gluing on appliqués.
