Marabu Textil Print – water-based fabric paint for screen printing and relief printing

Marabu Textil Print is a water-based fabric paint for screen printing and relief printing techniques such as stamping or roller printing. The paint is highly viscous, has a long open time and dries matt with a soft feel. This keeps it printable on the screen for longer, so you need to touch up less often as you work. It is suitable for cotton, linen, jute, silk and blended fabrics with a maximum of 20 % synthetic fibre. Choose your colour from the options.

The colours can be mixed with each other. If needed, thin them with a little water.

Printing with Textil Print

Wash new textiles beforehand without fabric softener, as finishing agents and fabric softener can stop the paint from adhering well. Stretch the fabric out flat, place the stencil on the screen and pull the paint through evenly with the squeegee. If the paint is too thick to flow, stir in a little water. Whether a colour covers on dark fabric is best checked on a test piece.

Fixing and washing

Let the print dry through first. Then fix it so that it becomes wash-resistant: either 8 minutes at 150 °C in the oven or 3 minutes ironing without steam. Once fixed, the print withstands washing up to 40 °C.
