Rayher 3-needle felting tool – needle felting from surfaces to details
The Rayher 3-needle felting tool is a tool for needle felting. At 15.5 cm long, it is easy to handle, and you can use it to felt larger areas, work lines and outlines, or shape details. According to Rayher, you can felt items such as shoes, hats, animals and decorative pieces with it. A needle guard is included.
The three needles work at the same time. This saves time when pre-felting larger areas, because you compact more wool with each stab than with a single needle.
Working with the felting tool
Place the wool on a thick pad and stab the tool in evenly and vertically. Tilting it sideways or levering it puts strain on the needles and can make them snap. To pre-felt larger areas, stab with all three needles. For lines and outlines, guide the tool along the contour in short rows of stabs. For details and fine work, according to Rayher, use only one needle. After use, put the needle guard on so that you do not hurt yourself on the needles when putting the tool away.
