Efco leather cord Ø 2.0 mm – for braiding and threading
The Efco leather cord is 1 metre long and has a diameter of 2.0 mm. You can braid it into bands or thread beads onto it to make your own jewellery, for example a necklace. The cords come in a range of colours. Choose your colour from the options.
Working with the leather cord
At a diameter of 2.0 mm, the cord is thin enough for fine braiding and for many beads. Before buying beads, check that the hole is larger than 2 mm, otherwise the cord will not fit through. For braiding, lay several cords side by side, preferably in different colours, and work a simple three-strand plait, for example. For a bracelet or necklace you will usually need more than one metre, depending on the length and the type of braid: the cord gets shorter as you braid, so allow a little extra. When threading, secure the beads with knots at the ends and finish with end caps or a clasp whose inner diameter matches the cord.
