FIMO Gloss Varnish 10 ml – high-gloss water-based protective varnish

FIMO Gloss Varnish is a water-based varnish that gives surfaces a high-gloss finish and protects them. It dries clear, is lightfast and, according to the manufacturer, weatherproof. The 10 ml jar comes on a blister card, with a brush in the lid. You can get started straight away without needing any other tools.

As the varnish is water-based, you can wash the brush out with water after use, as long as the varnish has not dried on.

Varnishing your FIMO projects

Only apply the varnish once the modelling clay has been baked according to the pack instructions and has cooled completely. The surface should be clean and free of dust and fingerprints. Apply the varnish thinly and evenly with the brush from the lid. Leave it to dry before you touch the piece or apply a second coat.

• Two thin coats are better than one thick one: this avoids drips and runs.
• The varnish dries clear, so the colour of your piece remains visible.
• The gloss varnish protects the surface and gives it a high-gloss look.

Choosing the size and finish

The 10 ml jar is enough for smaller projects and for trying it out. For larger quantities, FIMO Gloss Varnish is also available in a 35 ml jar. If you would rather have a satin matt finish than high gloss, choose FIMO Satin Matt Varnish in 35 ml.
