The tractor wooden wheel with rubber tread has an outer diameter of 60 mm and is intended for model making, craft projects and country-style decorations. You can also use it in school and nursery projects where tractors or trailers are built from scratch. The rubber tread gives an authentic look and extra grip.

With a width of 30 mm and an 8 mm hole, the wheel makes a sturdy rear wheel for smaller tractor or trailer models. The hole fits round dowels with a diameter of 8 mm.

Fitting the wheel

Slide the wheel onto an axle with a diameter of 8 mm, for example a round wooden dowel. If the wheel is to turn, it needs a little play on the axle, so do not apply glue inside the hole. To stop it slipping off sideways, secure it with a wooden bead or disc glued to the outside of the axle. Make sure the wheel does not rub against the chassis. Fix all the axles at the same height so that the model stands and rolls straight.

Choosing the size

This wheel is Ø 60 mm. The tractor wooden wheel with rubber tread is also available in the series in Ø 43 mm and Ø 80 mm. Use wheels of the same size for a model, or combine them deliberately: a larger wheel at the back and a smaller one at the front, as on a real tractor.
