Fitting the wheel

Push the wheel onto an axle or dowel that fits the hole, and make sure it turns freely. If the axle can turn inside the wheel, the vehicle rolls smoothly. To stop the wheels rubbing against the body, leave a little space between the wheel and the vehicle and secure the wheel on the outside, for example with a stopper or a drop of wood glue at the end of the axle.

As the wood is untreated, you can paint, stain or oil it as you like. It is best to leave the rubber ring free so that the tread keeps its grip.
