Rayher silicone mould – oval coaster for casting with Raysin, concrete and resin

The Rayher oval coaster silicone mould is a reusable mould for casting oval coasters from Raysin casting powder, creative concrete or casting resin. According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape. This makes it easy to remove the hardened piece after drying, and the mould stays usable for further casts.

The coaster measures 17.8 × 9.5 cm and is 1.6 cm high. The silicone is frost- and heat-resistant from -40 °C to +240 °C. For one cast, allow approx. 250 g of Raysin casting powder 200 or approx. 300 g of creative concrete, according to Rayher.

Casting with heavy materials

For heavy casting materials such as creative concrete, Rayher recommends placing the mould on sand while casting and hardening. The sand supports the lower hollows of the mould so that the base of the coaster stays flat. Let the compound harden completely before carefully stretching the silicone and releasing the coaster.

Care

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and, if necessary, a little washing-up liquid. It is then ready for the next cast.
