The Rico Design measuring cup set consists of two cups made of soft silicone with capacities of 100 ml and 350 ml. You can use them to measure, decant and mix craft materials, for example Art Resin Epoxy casting resin, craft concrete, Raysin casting powder or jewellery concrete.

Both cups have an easy-to-read measuring scale. It is particularly helpful with two-part epoxy resin, which needs an exact mixing ratio of resin and hardener. The small cup suits small quantities, while the large cup holds more for bigger batches. As the silicone is soft, casting resin residue can be pressed out once it has cured, and according to the manufacturer no residues are left behind.

Mixing epoxy resin in the measuring cup

Measure the resin and hardener into the cup one after the other, following the mixing ratio given by the resin manufacturer. Stand the cup on a level surface and read the scale at eye level. Stir slowly, scraping along the sides and bottom as well, so that no unmixed residue clings to the edge and fewer air bubbles form.

Which cup for what?

Use the 100 ml cup for small quantities, such as jewellery or small moulds. Use the 350 ml cup for larger moulds or for casting powder and concrete. Once cured, press the residue out of the soft silicone. Do not use cups in which you have mixed resin or concrete for food again.
