Glorex eco glycerine soap base – clear melt and pour soap base with olive oil

Glorex eco glycerine soap is a clear melt and pour soap base for making your own soaps. It has a skin-neutral base, contains olive oil and is 100% vegan. You can use it to cast small soaps as gifts.

The soap base comes in several sizes. Choose the size from the options. To plan the quantity, fill your mould with water beforehand and measure how much it holds. That way you will know roughly how much soap base to cut off.

Making your soap

The soap base is melted, coloured or scented if you wish, and poured into a mould. Follow this order:

• Cut the block into small cubes so that it melts evenly.
• Melt the pieces slowly in a heatproof container over a water bath, without letting them boil.
• Stir in colour and fragrance carefully so that little air gets into the mixture. The dosage depends on the instructions for the colourant and fragrance.
• Pour into the mould and remove bubbles on the surface with a little alcohol from a spray bottle.
• Leave to cool completely, then remove from the mould.

Decoration and moulds

Because the soap base is clear, you can embed items such as small soap figures or soap-safe decorative elements, which remain visible in the finished soap. Moulds you have used for soap should not be used for food afterwards.
