Rayher soap insert label “wash away all your troubles” – text in your soap

With the Rayher insert label “wash away all your troubles”, you can press a message into your own cast soap. The natural rubber label measures 50 × 50 mm and sits in the mould with the design facing up while you pour. It leaves deep, clear impressions and can then be cleaned with water and used again.

You will need a mould of a suitable size. Rayher shows the label in a craft idea using opaque creative soap and a “Squares” soap mould. You can also use the label when casting creative concrete or Raysin.

Using the label in soap

The label has to stay in place while you pour, so the soap goes into the mould in two stages. Melt the soap following the Rayher instructions in a bain-marie on the hob at a maximum of 60 °C and do not let it boil.

• Place the label in the mould with the design facing up.
• First pour a thin layer of liquid soap over the label, a tablespoon at a time, and press down lightly so nothing slips.
• Then pour in the rest of the soap.
• Leave the soap to dry for at least 2–3 hours, ideally a day.
• Release the soap from the mould with a little pressure and carefully lift the label off with a fine needle.
• Clean the label with water and it is ready for the next pour.
