Key Ring with Chain – Base for Handmade Keyrings
The key ring with chain in nickel-plated steel is the base for making your own keyrings. The chain and ring come ready assembled, so there is nothing to put together and you can start decorating straight away.
With an overall length of 60 mm and a weight of approx. 7 g, the combination is compact and stays easy to handle even with keys and charms attached.
Designing your key charm
The ring with a 25 mm inner diameter holds your keys, and you attach the decoration to the chain. This can be beads, metal charms, tassels or small handmade items. Jump rings are suitable for attaching them: twist them open and closed sideways with two pairs of pliers instead of pulling them apart, so that they stay round. Take the weight of your charms into account: the chain is 37 mm long, and very heavy pieces will needlessly pull the charm down in your pocket.
Note on the material
Nickel-plated steel can cause skin reactions in people with a nickel allergy. Keep this in mind if you are giving the charm as a gift.
