Rayher round coaster silicone mould – for Raysin, creative concrete and casting resin

The Rayher round coaster silicone mould (art. no. 36125000) is a mould for round coasters or shallow dishes, Ø 17 cm and 2.1 cm high. You can fill it with Raysin casting powder 200 or creative concrete; according to Rayher, casting resin also works.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape. Because it stretches, you can easily release the dried object after curing, and the mould stays usable for further castings.

Casting the coaster

Work out the quantity in advance: Rayher states approx. 300 g of Raysin casting powder 200 or approx. 360 g of creative concrete for this mould. Mix the material following the instructions on the packaging, pour it into the mould and let it dry completely before pushing the object out. Heavy materials such as creative concrete press down on the recesses of the soft mould. According to Rayher, you should therefore place the mould on sand while casting and curing: this supports the spaces underneath, and the base will not become wavy.

• Place the mould on a level surface or on sand
• Pour in the material and let it cure completely
• Release the object by stretching the flexible silicone

Cleaning and notes on use

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and, if necessary, a little washing-up liquid. The mould is intended for casting materials, not as a baking tin. If you have used it for concrete, Raysin or casting resin, do not use it for food any more.
