URSUS Dino Lantern Craft Kit – Make Your Own Dinosaur Lantern

With the URSUS Dino lantern craft kit, you make a round lantern with a dinosaur design. The kit contains a die-cut lantern Ø 21.8 cm, tracing paper, coloured card, glitter paper, a candle holder, a carrying handle and a template sheet with instructions. You won't need any more paper, just scissors, glue and a light.

According to URSUS, the finished lantern is about 21.8 cm wide, 21 cm high and 10.3 cm deep. That is a handy size for lantern parades and window decorations.

Making the dino lantern

The detailed instructions explain step by step how to use the template sheet to transfer the shapes of the individual paper pieces onto the different types of paper. You then cut out the pieces and stick them onto the lantern blank. The die-cut piece forms the basic shape, while the motif pieces made of coloured card, tracing paper and glitter paper give the dino its face and colours. Use only a little glue on the tracing paper so that no marks show through. Finally, fit the candle holder and carrying handle.

The papers are matched to the dino: according to URSUS, there are green, blue and black shades as well as pink and white, plus rainbow glitter paper for effects. The A5 sheets are suited to smaller details, the larger coloured card sheets to the big areas.
