Rayher Half Polystyrene Rings – Flat Wreath Bases in Solid Material
Rayher half polystyrene rings, also known as flat rings or Römer, are wreath bases made of solid polystyrene for painting, covering and decorating. The underside is flat, so the ring sits steadily while you work and as a finished table decoration. The surface is smooth. You can paint the ring or decorate it with natural materials, fabrics, sequins and glitter, for example for Advent wreaths, table wreaths or spring decorations. Choose your size from the options.
Decorating the ring
Because the ring is made of solid material, you can push decorative pieces straight into it or glue them on. Polystyrene is dissolved by solvent-based paints, spray varnishes and some glues. Use water-based acrylic paint and glue suitable for polystyrene instead. If you want to cover the ring completely with ribbon, yarn or fabric, wrap it first and glue the ends in place. This stops the white showing through later. Keep the flat side at the bottom so the wreath stands securely as a table decoration.
