Water brush set of 3 – three tip sizes for watercolour on the go

The Eberhard Faber set contains three water brushes from the Artist Color range in tip sizes S, M and L. You unscrew the brush, fill the tank with water and paint with watercolour paints or water-soluble pencils, without needing a separate jar of water. The tips are synthetic and suit all water-soluble paints and pencils.

The tank holds 7.5 ml. Pressing the barrel lets you control the water finely: depending on the pressure, you mix more or less water into the colour. This makes gradients and typical watercolour effects easier.

Working with the water brush

Unscrew the brush, fill the tank with water and put it back together. Dampen the tip, pick up colour and add water by gently pressing the barrel. For soft transitions, pull the colour out with the tip when it is only damp. Dab the tip on kitchen paper before changing colour to keep the colours clean.

Which tip for which job?

With three sizes, the set covers different tasks:

• S (fine): easy to control, for details and fine lines
• M (medium): for lettering and hand lettering
• L (broad): for larger areas and backgrounds
