Rayher solid polystyrene rings – a sturdy base for wreaths and decorations

Rayher solid polystyrene rings are made from solid polystyrene. You can use them as a base for wreaths, table decorations and seasonal craft projects. They come in diameters from 7.5 to 25 cm; choose the size from the options.

Decorating the ring

Polystyrene is attacked by solvents. For this reason, use water-based acrylic paints and craft glue, and test spray paint or solvent-based glues on an inconspicuous spot first. If you want to wrap the ring with yarn, ribbon or fabric, fix the start with a dot of glue and wrap the ring tightly and evenly so that the polystyrene does not show through.

Which size to choose

Small rings are better suited to table decorations or napkin rings, larger ones to door wreaths and wall decorations. Allow for the weight of natural materials or embellishments: a solid ring carries the decoration securely, but for very heavy trimmings the ring should not be too small.
