YKK VISLON 85 cm zip – light and sturdy for jackets and sportswear

The YKK VISLON zip is an open-ended, 1-way zip with 1 slider for jackets, coats and sportswear. It is 85 cm long. The plastic teeth are injection-moulded firmly onto the tape. This makes the zip lighter than a metal zip of the same length, and it runs smoothly.

Tape and teeth are colour-matched, so the zip stays discreet in the garment. Choose your colour from the options. With 5 mm teeth and a 14 mm tape width, it suits jackets, ski suits and motorcycle clothing, where a functional fastening without much weight is needed.

Which length do you need?

Measure the opening of your garment from the top edge to the hem before you order. At 85 cm, this zip fits long jackets and coats. The VISLON series also comes in other lengths, for example 40, 65, 80, 90 and 95 cm.

Sewing it in

Pin the zip in place before sewing or hold it with sewing clips so that the tape does not slip. Sew as close to the teeth as possible using a zip foot. Check that the slider runs easily before topstitching.
