YKK VISLON 35 cm zip – light and sturdy for jackets and sportswear
The YKK VISLON zip in 35 cm length is a plastic zip for jackets, sportswear and motorcycle clothing. The teeth are injection-moulded firmly onto the tape. This makes it considerably lighter than a metal zip of the same length, yet still robust. You notice this above all in jackets that you wear for long periods.
Tape and teeth are colour-matched, so the zip stays unobtrusive in the fabric. Choose your colour from the options.
What the zip is suited to
At 35 cm long, the VISLON suits shorter openings, for example on jackets, sportswear or motorcycle clothing. The teeth are 5 mm wide and the tape is 14 mm wide. This matters for the seam allowance: plan the opening so that the tape sits neatly in the seam on both sides. Measure the opening before sewing it in and choose the length accordingly. Pin or clip the zip in place before sewing so that the layers of fabric do not shift.
