Faber-Castell TK lead pointer – for 2 mm and 3.15 mm leads
The Faber-Castell TK lead pointer (art. no. 186600) sharpens the leads of your TK mechanical pencils and TK lead holders. It has two sharpening openings for fine leads of Ø 2 mm and Ø 3.15 mm and a shavings container that catches the shavings.
The tub is a compact sharpener with a transparent lid and a dark green base. The ribbed sides give you a better grip when turning the lead.
Sharpening the lead
Insert the lead into the opening that matches its diameter and turn it with light pressure. The shavings fall into the container, which you empty when needed. Do not press sideways on the lead, otherwise the tip breaks off easily.
Replacing the pointer
When the blade becomes blunt, the lead breaks more often and sharpening takes more effort. Replace the whole pointer then, as the blade cannot be replaced.
